[Where's the wild overreaction and awe?] Well, time and space isn't a problem to some people. I know someone who can go back in time. And the CDC can jump forward and back in time, too. Just ask them.
[He turns back to face the right direction, stretching his arms behind his head. Once again, Hanbei looks awfully relaxed for someone who was part of murdering whole colonies of Neraki.]
By the way, I'm actually human. It was a joke, if you couldn't tell.
[ If only he hadn't gone for something so bizarre. At least with the CDC and all Red's heard of them so far, it's not that he's quick to believe it instead for them -- it's just difficult to argue it. That would require thinking hard about it, and he doesn't want to. There's already too much to take in.
Somehow, hearing about people travelling through time is hard to be amazed over.
His voice comes out dry when he speaks. ]
I could. You don't make a very good pokémon.
[ It's not a joke, not quite sarcastic, but there's enough to indicate that's he's tired and not in the mood for messing around. He doesn't question the ease that the guy walks, but that little game he doesn't get.
At least they're closer now to camp, with others who've already made their way there. The medical team are sure to be having a good time. ]
Which is one of the reasons why Hanbei's face finally falls, but only after he slows down and begins to walk a bit behind Red instead. He can start hearing other people walking back. Their footsteps are heavy.
They're all tired. But his are still light.]
I can fly. [...] But, I guess I wouldn't really want to be a Pokémon.
[He points somewhere near camp.]
I don't think you guys can enter the rovers, but we can set up tents for you to sleep.
[ He glances back when Hanbei switches his place, but they both know the destination so he doesn't question it. Instead Red takes in more of the sight of the bustle, of how it's somehow changed even when people before had been concerned about their comrades that had been taken.
It tightens at his chest. ]
Sure. [ Is the answer he brushes off the first comment with, not taking it seriously. And for after the part about the tents- ] Do you think Charizard will be okay? He stops bleeding quickly... the nurses and doctors here will be busy, won't they.
[ Something tells him as well there aren't machines to tend to a pokémon. There are his own hands, holding the bottle now by the ends of his fingers, but they only got scraped, slight burns from the heat of arrows that were out upon reaching Charizard.
They still tinge at the sides of his hands like any burn would, but he keeps that to himself. Something also tells him there's going to be worse off people. ]
[ He thinks about it, but all he needs to remember the state of what he just left behind. Compared to some they were lucky, and especially the one basket they got to too late...
Red shakes his head, chewing on his lip but letting it go quickly enough. ] No, it's fine. I'll check him out myself. Where are the tents?

And maybe Red would've been a bit too surprised by her appearance, too.]
They'll be busy. But, I'm sure there's someone who can tend to him. Most of us picked up some medical knowledge!
[Is it worth using a
instant healnanite shot on a Pokémon? Hanbei would think so, but there's only so little for each recruit as it is.]The medical rover is that way. Do you want to check it out first?

[That's where they are if there are tents, right? The CDC wouldn't make new recruits sleep on the floor...
...okay, they would. But not this time.]
Try to get some rest! I think we're all ready for a long nap after all of that. I'm come and talk to you another day, alright?

Alright. [ Ah, and- ] ... Thanks for helping me and Charizard. I appreciate it.

[And he'll bother/offend you another day.]
