The Sleepy Strategist
Hanbei: Hey, I know you! You're traveling around the entire country, right? A crow told me. Or was it a cat?

>> What're talking about?
Hanbei: Just to clarify, that was a joke. I'm Hanbei Takenaka. A strategist, I guess.
Hanbei: I love sleeping, and dream of spending my entire life asleep. I can recite Sun Tzu's Art of War in my sleep. Nice to meet you!
>> You really like sleeping, don't you?
Hanbei: Living means hardship. You can forget all that when you sleep, though, and dream nice dreams! (#escapism)
>> And you can work as a strategist like that?
Hanbei: That's rude. I'm a skilled strategist, thank you very much. The modern Zhuge Liang, they even call me.
Hanbei: Anyway, it's time for my nap. Let's do this another day, okay?
Secret Journey
MU found Hanbei looking puzzled.
Hanbei: Ah, great timing! Will you listen to a request from me?
>> Happily.
Hanbei: Yes! I knew you'd say yes! You can't just listen, though, you have to actually do it too, okay?
>> No. I don't want to.
Hanbei: Hey! Don't be so mean! There's no reason to turn me down, surely!
Hanbei: My request, is that I want to go to a hot spring, but Master Kanbei won't let me go until I've finished all my work.
Hanbei: So, I want you to smuggle me out in a box. Just say it's a gift or something and they'll let you through.
MU had no idea why a gift would be taken to a hot spring, but carried the box containing Hanbei there, as requested.
Along the way, Hanbei's friend Kanbei saw MU and gave a sigh, but didn't say anything. (THANKS BOYFRIEND)
Eventually, MU reached the hot spring with the box.
Hanbei: Aaah, hot springs are the best! So healing! Come on, get in here. You'll forget all that sweat in a moment!
A Moment's Rest
Hanbei: Hey, up here! Come on, climb up! It's lovely and warm up here.
MU was invited by Hanbei up onto the roof.
Hanbei: I like to take a moment away from work to come up here. It's so nice, it really refreshes my body and mind.
Hanbei: I've got so much work it makes me sick, but it's work worth doing, and it makes everyone happy, so I like being a strategist.
Hanbei: I'm not all that strong, physically, though, so sometimes I need to take a rest.
>> Are you okay?
Hanbei: Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for worrying about me. It makes me feel warm inside!
>> Just take it easy.
Hanbei: You're very kind. When things get bad for you, you should rest like this too.
Hanbei: Can we keep today between us? Promise? Tell anyone else and I'll cry! Heh, just kidding.
Hanbei's Hat
Hanbei handed MU a hat.
Hanbei: This is an old hat of mine. I want you to have it, as a memento.
>> A memento? What, you're going to die?
Hanbei: I'm not going to die! Look, I'm in perfect health. (LIAR)
>> What a dirty old hat.
Hanbei: Hey, that's rude! I used to stroke that hat every day, and tell it what a good little hat it was. (what)
Hanbei: This might be a little depressing, but you never know when someone is going to die.
Hanbei: So I wanted someone special to have something special of mine. That's why I'm giving this hat to you.
Hanbei: That's enough doom and gloom, anyway! Our journey together has only just started!
Hanbei: There's no need to worry. No matter what happens now, that hat will always be a shared memory.
